jerseyboy, It is tough to tell b/c they seem to really be gpa driven more than anything else. I hope they consider your school's profile, then I think you stand a decent chance.

I have a question, though, since the school is 2 hours from the Dulles how do you plan to get home when Collegetransit is not available and you need to get home? Hopefulnj, how do you plan on getting home? Are either of you taking cars to JMU?

Thanks for the feed back I really want to get in!!!! But yea transit is tough but one of my close friends already goes to JMU and he is bringing his car, so I think Im okay

Oh, your lucky then. What is your friend's major? Since you want to go, he must really like it!

He's a Business major

i would say you have a good chance...too bad you're not in-state, though. your stats are pretty solid--your sat is above the jmu average, and you have good ecs. best of luck!

I got rejected last year with the same GPA, higher SAT scores and took more AP classes, and I was in state. I dont know how much emphasis JMU puts on the essay but since its optional im guessing not too much, but yeah apply anyways, you might have a decent shot
