Hi I am currently a Junior and I'm wondering what are my chances of getting into UCONN...
I'll have a 3.7 weighted GPA by the end of the year
I scored low on the SAT with a 1670. I hope to bring that up to about a 1900, I'm taking it atleast once more and studying a lot.
I do a lot of extra curricular activities especially with choir and I am in TRI-M (music national honors society)
I'll have a lot of leadership positions my senior year.
I take all honors classes except math and spanish, and by the time I graduate I'll have taken 3 APs.
freshman year i had mostly Bs some As.
sophomore year i had mostly As some Bs.
Now Junior year I have all As and havent gotten below a 4.0 (weighted) GPA this year.
So i guess I've shown improvement.
Also my sister goes to Uconn... i dont know if that helps.

id say you have a good chance the only thing is the SAT score. It also makes a big difference whether your in state or OOS. I got into Uconn with a 3.77 gpa and a 1750 SAT and I’m OOS I also have a lot of EC’s and work experience.

I’m in state, does this make it easier or harder?

oh it definitely makes it easier. they accept a lot of students from connecticut and when i was looking at their merit scholarships— for all except two you have to be a resident of connecticut to be able to be considered.
