I’m wondering if it is worth it for me to apply to Wake Forest University. I would be doing regular decision as the ED deadline is in two weeks.
I’m a full IB Diploma Candidate(Psych SL, Spanish HL, Chemistry HL, Math SL, History of the Americas HL, English HL)
I took APUSH as a sophomore and got a 5.
I got a 6 on IB Psych last year.
34 on the ACT, didn’t take the SAT.
Last year my weighted cumulative GPA was a 4.3, unweighted around a 3.8, but my grades fell a little the first quarter of my senior year.
My extracurriculars could be much better.
I’ve been on a club equestrian team for 6 years.
I’ve been working since my freshman year and I’ve held two jobs simultaneously for 6 months now.
I’ve volunteered in a Salvation Army kitchen and was a Miracle League buddy for two years.
This past summer I started a fundraiser and created and delivered 50 care packages to the local homeless population.
Do you think I can get in? Should I apply?
Also wondering what my chances may be at Northeastern and University of Richmond.
Wake + Richmond are probably low reaches, although your EC’s won’t hurt you much if any of you explain to colleges that you’ve been working two different jobs at once.
Richmond is the only school I know quite a lot about though, not sure what your chances are at Northeastern but it’s probably a low reach or match school.
I’d say your a match for all schools. And I encourage anyone to apply to University of Richmond! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made
