Chances of admission to college as an intl student

Hi!
I was wondering what my chances of admission would be to US universities as an international student (spain). I would need scholarships/financial aid (max. family contribution 25,000) but going to the study in the US is my dream, so I am willing to work hard to get there.
Scores:
SAT - 1410, (although I am aiming for a 1500+ upon 2nd try)
IGCSE’s - All 7A*s, 3As
IB currently - 4HL (bio, chem, spanish, econ), SL math & eng (predicted around 40)
EC’s - Head boy of my school, president of MUN & Rotary at my school, Eco club, babysitting, piano grade 5, volleyball, baking to high level (no awards)
Extras:
Speak 4 languages fluently, twins (hence financial aid needed)
I really would appreciate any contribution as the whole US system is new to me, and a range of schools that would meet my criteria.
Any other questions please ask…
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

What’s the major your looking at?

Is your family contribution total or per year?

I’m looking at primarily biochem or biotech

Per year…

Run the NPC (pretend you’re a US citizen - it’s just to give you an idea) on St Olaf, Grinnell, Skidmore, Olin, Cal Poly Pomona, Iowa State, SUNY Buffalo, UNC Asheville, ASU.
This will give you an idea of your EFC at meet need schools and of how likely merit is.

Thank you! I’ll do that for sure… I’ve been looking at some of the ones on your list, I hope they’re nice and generous with international students!

Cal Poly Pomona will not give you any financial aid as an International applicant. I would look a Pomona College instead.

^ I listed cpp to help op realize the difference between sticker price and net cost
I agree with Pomona College as a suggestion.

“I hope they’re nice and generous with international students!”

Most US schools are not generous with international students. I think that your challenge will be finances. You can get admitted to many schools in the US. However, there are only a few which meet full need for international students, and they are all very competitive.

There are some schools in Canada where the total cost of attendance would be relatively close to your US$25,000 per year number.

Sadly, I am aware of this, that’s why I wanted to see if anyone else knew about some exceptions. Thanks for mentioning Canada, I’ll look at them (Canada always seems to be the answer haha), although I remember checking McGill and it cost close to 50000 for my major.
Thank you for clarifying though!

“I remember checking McGill”

Yes, the most famous schools in Canada (McGill, Toronto, UBC) can charge more for international students because there are plenty of academically strong international students who are willing and able to pay. Be aware that the stated costs are in Canadian dollars. Thus C$50,000 per year is somewhere around US$37,500 per year.

If two of the four languages you speak fluently are English and French, then the University of Ottawa will give you a break on tuition as a bilingual student. Ottawa is an officially bilingual university (some courses are taught in English, some are taught in French). You might want to consider some of the other “good but not as famous” schools (Victoria, Simon Fraser, Concordia, Dalhousie, Memorial U of Newfoundland, …). Also some of the smaller schools are reasonably priced for international students (Mount Allison, Acadia, Bishops, …). I am not sure about the prices for the French universities (Montreal, UQAM,…).
