Really worried about my GPA & SAT score, can someone please help!! :frowning:

Don’t worry about your GPA or SAT. You’re GPA puts you into the middle 50% of admitted students, and UF would use your ACT score (which is higher than your SAT score), and your ACT score is also in the middle 50% of admitted students. Your EC’s also look great.

UF holistic admissions always seems a bit random, but I wouldn’t worry about your GPA; go ahead and re-take the SAT/ACT, and keep up on your EC’s.

Good Luck!

Thank you @Gator88NE. So are my chances looking ok? Or should I be concerned?

I’m hardly an expert, but your chances look good to me (it’s a “Match”), but with holistic admissions you never know. :-??

Sachan, I agree with Gator88NE.

Your ACT score is good! Make sure you keep your grades up and maybe take the SAT and ACT once more just to see if you get a higher score. Although the requirements for admissions have changed since I applied 3 years ago, I had the same ACT score and many extracurricular activities, like you. Keep up the good work! The admissions system is complicated and considers all aspects of the applicant so just apply, and try not to worry about it!

Good luck!

Thank you @GatorGrlK, is there anything in specific I should focus on in my essays?

You will want to make your essay concise and personal. Since they do not do in person interviews, they judge your personality and writing skills through the essay.
