In CALS, your application evaluation will include an assessment of how well your stats, coursework, and extracurricular experiences have prepared you for your desired major. Your overall stats are great, and your science fair award strengthens your application. But your science score is the lowest component of your ACT composite – do you have strong SAT subject test scores in science and/or math? If so, you definitely have a decent chance of acceptance. But Cornell is still a reach for most people.
Unfortunately, I have not taken any SAT tests. However, I did score a 5 on the AP Biology exam if that means anything. For math, I am taking an advanced calculus course at my local state university because I took AP calculus my junior year. How much will my application be affected by not taking any subject tests?
