Chances of Admission?

I am a senior at Seminole High School (Sanford, FL) and I applied to UF back in July/August. I just wanted to know from others at the school what my chances are of getting in? The anticipation is killing me, I figured a few of you could help me out. =)

Academics:
3.86 cumulative high school unweighted GPA
4.3 cumulative high school weighted GPA
SAT: 1200 (600 English, 600 Math)
ACT: 28 Composite
93rd percentile (Top 7% in my class)
Nearly all Honors and AP classes

Sports:
Varsity Soccer 1 year
Varsity Lacrosse 3 years

Other:
Student Body Vice President
Currently taking EMT Dual Enrollment
National Honor Society 2 years
Leadership Vice President
Senior Class Council Member
150+ community service hours

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Maybe a 20% chance (unless you are a URM). Better get your test scores higher.

I'd say that your class rank and ECs give you a good fighting chance. More than 50%, IMO.

thanks guys. :)
anybody else have any input?

Right around 50% I'd say..Good luck

Did you apply for summer admission?

summer admission: 85% (maybe 90%)

fall admission: 65%

No I applied for fall.

I have work experience throughout high school too, roughly 15-20 hours/week 10th-12th grade, if that counts for anything
and a brother that goes there currently..

dont worry about what term you applied for, it doesnt make a difference.

Actually, it makes a very significant difference. I'm sure someone will chyme in with the statistical difference very soon.

I am going to say that you have a VERY good chance. I say this because UF Loves student body leadership. Both the vp and pres. from my son's school from senior year are at UF with MUCH lower stats than you. One of the girls did not even get into FSU. I recently spoke to a HS guidance counselor who confirmed that they were shocked at some kids who they thought would def get in and didn't but the officers of the school did. Good luck. If they are looking "holistically," then you have what it takes, grades, scores, sports, leadership.

As if getting into FSU would be easy...not.

Ya, I agree a 1200 on the SAT won't cut it for FSU either.

i already got into FSU with a scholarship offer, and offered admission to the honors program and their "leadership program"
what are you talking about it wouldn't cut it?

thats the 28 that got you the $$$, that is equivalent to around 1280 i believe

Whoops my bad a 28 on the ACT is solid.

Yes, and FSU takes the highest subscore from each test and forms their own composite, in that case I got a 31 ACT. Too bad UF doesn't do that.

a 28 is like 1800 SAT, and idk ur scores are only thing weak, id say 30/60

What is impressive with your credentials sbrady is your 3.86 UNweighted GPA in AP and Honors courses plus your leadership activities. This is probably why you were accepted to FSU and Honors. FSU weighs performance like this over SAT/ACT scores.

My D2 had similar scores and received similar consideration/offers from FSU over two years ago.

I hope you select Florida State. I don't recall you posting what you want to study, but FSU may well have superior options to UF depending on the area.

beliiiive me, i have done my research and it does not make a difference, yes the statistics for summer vs fall are different, but (apparently) most people dont know that it doesnt matter what term you apply for because they can accept you for any one, you just put your preference on the application, and they told you that.
i dont feel like explaining it all, but i've had this conversation in another thread, check it out.

my point is, dont worry about what term you put on your application, haha

Alright well thanks for all the input.
Hopefully Feb. 13th will be a good day. :)
