Chances of Admissions- UF

Hey guys, I’m an incoming senior this year and I really want to get into UF. Based on my scores and all, can you tell me what you think my chances if admission are?

ACT: 23 (retaking in oct.)
SAT: 1480 (retaking)
GPA: 3.1 unweighted --4.1 weighted

By the end of HS I would have taken 6 AP classes…so far I have only passed 1 with a 3.
I would have taken 12 DE classes since I am in a full time DE program…meaning I might get my AA with my HS diploma.

As a freshman/sophmore I was in the marching band (colorguard) so I have 130 hours logged.

I have had 2 jobs.

Based on this info what do you think my chances are? I understand the essay contributes a lot when it comes down to it.

UF is probably a reach with those numbers, other than the weighted GPA. Same with FSU, UCF or USF. Getting the test scores up will obviously help.

Getting an AA is definitely a good idea. It will probably make it MUCH easier to get in, provided you finish the required prerequisite courses for your intended major.

After you’ve graduated from a 4-year school, no one will care that you were an AA transfer.
