Chances of admittance w/ 1740 sat

I know that score is low. Its bothering me so much. But, I feel like the rest of my application might make up for it. I just want to hear what people here have to say and any tips/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

-I am a Venezuelan first generation female from FL.
-I am in the IB program at a magnet school and have taken the most rigorous classes offered there. (7 AP classes in total, have passed all of them except for Euro and World History)
-I am top 15% of my class of 800 and my gpa is 5.3 Weighted/ 3.4 Unweighted.
-I played club and varsity soccer since 9th grade
-I have 250+ community service hours.
-I am a member of 4 Honors Societies at my school and am the Secretary of one of them.
-My IB coordinator and IB counselor will be writing my recommendation letters and I believe they'll be great.
-I am a Posse Semi-finalist (awaiting notification for the Finalist round) and an AP scholar.

Could you please give me some insight regarding my chances? I plan to apply early action. I am also considering Emerson College in Boston.

Thanks!

Anyone??? I chance back

My daughter was accepted with an SAT like that but she also had a 28 ACT. Did you take that? She applied regular decision. Apply and see what happens.

Also, have you visited? My d was interested in Emerson initially but didn’t like that it didn’t have a “campus”. Plus she changed her mind about her major from Communications to Psychology so that worked out well. She loves Fordham.

Ah  my ACT is low as well, I got a 25. Should I just retake the SAT in December and try to get a higher score and then apply regular decision?
Or will it be harder to get in then?

Did your daughter end up applying to emerson?

Do you think I could get in there?

I would retake the SAT.

You may want to consider studying the writing section. Of the three sections of the SAT, the writing section yields the greatest ratio of improvement over hours spent studying.
