Chances of an NSF REU

<p>Hey I am currently a sophomore Chemistry major at UNC-Chapel Hill. I really want to do an NSF REU in Chemistry this summer, but I wasn't sure my chances of getting in. I have a low GPA (~3.2, but ~3.6 this past semester), am an African-American male, and have a year of research experience. Do I have a decent chance at an REU? Or is my GPA too low?</p>
