Chances of being accepted into Rutgers?

Hi, I'm a senior at a New Jersey Public School. I plan to apply to Rutgers. My freshmen, sophomore and junior years were average. Took mostly honors classes, no AP. This year I'm taking 4 APs, macro, bio, latin, & stats. I have A's and high B's in those classes with an extra 20% weight. Good start so far this year. Will applying for early decision increase my chances, or am I better off waiting for regular decision?

SAT I: 1730

APs: Will be taking macro, bio, latin, & stats exam this year.

ECs -
-70+ Hr @ hospitals, local food banks, school community services.
-Latin Honor Society
-NHS
-Work experience
Essay - Good
Recs - Rutgers doesn't require recs.

Hi - I’m afraid I can’t legitimately chance you 'cause I’m new here myself, but it’s nice to see another Latin kid!

I think you’ll have to have super essays with what you’ve got here. Your ECs are a bit sparse - I might also recommend taking the SAT again, if you think you can improve your scores. You say Rutgers doesn’t require recs, but do they take optional ones? That kind of thing might bump you up if you’re borderline.

Best of luck!
