Chances of being accepted to Stanford

I’m currently a junior, and Stanford is my dream school.

GPA(weighted)- 4.8
Unweighted- 3.85
Rank- 11/437
SAT- 2110
ACT-32- I’ll take it again
EC- Cheerleading (won state)
Diving
Track
Junior exec (planned prom)
Dance Marathon Morale dance member for Riley’s children hospital
Student Renaissance member
Math team and Fine Arts team member (Academic Super Bowl)
Currently running for SC president
I also just got my pilot’s license, so that’s unique I guess?

I’m not sure that I’ll include all my EC’s on the application because it seems like too much. I’ve heard that Stanford is willing to forgive for lower test scores if the student has excellent intellectual vitality. I achieved my 32 on the ACT with only one day of studying, so I am confident that this summer I will be able to bring it up to a 33 or 34. I can’t take the SAT anymore because I’ve already taken it 3 times, and Stanford does not practice score choice. I’m also an IB student, so I take all IB classes with some coupled as AP:

  • AP Biology
    -AP Chem
    -AP Lang and Comp
  • AP Macro-5
    -AP Psych-5
    -AP Euro-3 ( hate history)
    What are my chances?

I was accepted into Stanford’s class of 2020. Your stats are similar to mine. I did have a 34 ACT so bring it up at least to that. Also what are you passionate about? What will you do to change the world? These are questions Stanford wants to know. Do you bring any diversity to the table? What do you plan on studying ?

When you want a tippy top, “I’ve heard that…” is risky. And it won’t be all about “passion,” but what you did about it. Go look at what S says. And sorry, but kids with intellectual vitality don’t go admitting they hate history. They have wide and deep interests that show.

I’m a white female probably majoring in something STEM related. I live in a household with $400,000+ income.

you will have to send all your SAT scores to stanford now anyway, so you might as well just master the SAT instead of sending them 3 bad scores
