i have been playing violin since first grade, been playing in musical groups at New England Conservatory since fifth grade (will be sending a recording with arts supplement).
my choice carreer is high school or elementary art teacher (will be sending a portfolio with arts supplement).
i played JV volleyball sophomore year.
i am not sure how many hours of community service i have done, but it is around 150.
i think i wrote a really good supplement essay:)

however, i didn't have my act together this fall, and missed the ED deadline for W&M, so i am really doubting my chances of getting in! in addition, two eople who are much higher than me in my class are applying, and W&M has already accepted a girl from my town (different school, but it's not a very big town.) i also haven't been able to visit the campus because it is so far away, or had an interview or any other contact with the Admissions Office.

on that note, who thinks i can get in??

Out of state doesn’t help, but I think your test scores and EC’s are pretty good! Good Luck!

Glad to hear you’re interested in W&M. And glad you’re submitting the fine art supplement. It’s a great way for students who are very involved with the fine arts to demonstrate their abilities to the W&M faculty who then share their assessment with the Admission Committee.

Do not worry about not having visited campus or contacting our office. We do not track demonstrated interest beyond students who apply ED so whether or not you’ve visited or contacted us is not known when reviewing your file. Additionally, we do not have quotas or limits per school, city, or state beyond the mandated 65% in-state, 35% out-of-state so the fact that other students from your school are applying or the fact that someone else from your town got admitted is irrelevant. If all of you are competitive, you are all admitted.

The basic profile of an admitted student is someone who’s taken full advantage of the curriculum at their high school (in your case AP courses). 80% of those we admit graduate in the top 10% of their class and the middle 50% for SATs is 1280-1430 for Critical Reading + Math (generally, for out-of-state students, the mid 50% range is the upper portion of the overall range). Our out-of-state admit rate is 27% and our overall admit rate is 32%. These are just profile data, not minimum requirements.
