<p>Well, if you’re seriously considering doing the marching band at USC, I’d say it might have some substantial weight. But if you’re not continuing after high school, it’s pretty much just another EC.</p>
<p>It’s just another EC. Music and band instructors just love to brag how well “their” students do in college admissions, but the fact is that many of “their” students also have great grades and test scores (which explains their success in college admissions). Indeed, USC just loves high test scores, and NMSF easily beats any drum major.</p>
