First of all, congratulations to all fellow acceptees (:

But, to the point. On my UC application, I wrote that I planned to take Calculus and Spanish III. I attend a small California high school that was hit very hard by the California state budget cuts, so taking these courses there was impossible, as both classes had been cut. So, on the application I made sure to let the University know that I'd be taking these classes at my local community college.

As I attempted to register for these courses during the beginning of my spring semester, two blocks stood in my way.

At my high school, we have an agreement with the local community college. If you get a B or better in Algebra II, you are able to take math courses at the college. This, I thought, was no problem as I'd gotten an A in Algebra II Honors at a previous high school sophomore year and an A in Pre-Cal at my current one. But because I'd taken Algebra II HONORS, and it was at a different high school, I was barred from entering any math class.

As if things weren't already rolling slowly downhill, I learned that due to the beloved budget cuts, Spanish III had been cut entirely.

These courses have no bearing on my major (Poli Sci), I have maintained A's in all my classes, added even more community service, and received an academic excellence award. Additionally, I dropped my fluff seniors classes (work experience and free periods) in favor of becoming an assistant teacher in Anatomy. And to get around the Math block, I took up Business Math at the college. And, to be as annoyingly repetitive as possible, only listed these courses as 'planned.'

I don't know if this is a definite 'no, why would you even ask' or the opposite, but I'm very worried. And it just so happens that today would be the day the admissions office is closed. Please help, this is my first choice school.

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
