I got in as a transfer for EE, and my provisional contract says I need to earn a B in math and physics. Will I be rescinded if I end up with a C in one or both classes? I sent a bunch of messages on the my admission portal and even to the admissions office weeks ago but never got any responses. Any help/advice?
Call admissions
@Kindahopeful Any updates? I’m in a similar situation as you.
@MechLife I called the admissions office, and they said they couldn’t really do anything until grades were actually out. However I finally got a response (like 3 weeks later haha) that said:
“Both courses could probably be C grades and you would retain your offer of admission. If you don’t pass the courses then I recommend you immediately enroll in both courses over the summer. While enrolling in summer doesn’t guarantee your offer of admission, you would be in a position to demonstrate to the School of Engineering your intentions of fulfilling the major prereqs.”
@Kindahopeful wow thanks so much for the update!!! I’m in the exact same situation as you. I’m an engineering major too and it says that I need a B in my physics 2 class, which I already got a C in last quarter even before I got accepted. I sent a message through MyAdmissions yesterday and they have not responded to me yet (although the admissions counselor read the message yesterday). I’m so nervous… Ive been checking the message center like every ten minutes.
How did you approach the matter? Do you think I should send them my other grades as well for that quarter? Because I was taking maximum credits, all STEM classes, and I got 2 A’s, a B and a C (physics). Do you think it would help?
