Chances of cal poly slo

I’m currently a senior in high school. I had a 4.0 freshman year, 4.1 sophomore year, and a 4.5 junior year. I’m currently taking anatomy, ceramics, psychology, ap stats, ap lit, ap gov/Econ. On my first SAT I got 1830 and am taking it again in October. Intended major is business administration - finance. Any ideas of my chances?

Calculate your CP GPA by using the CSU GPA calculator and adding in our 9th grades. No Honors/AP/IB classes in 9th grade count for the extra honors points: https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp

Your SAT score is a bit low for SLO Business but your GPA looks on target. I would say your chances are 50/50 unless you can bump up that SAT. Also SLO uses MCA points to determine admissions so if you use the following link, you can better access your chances. MCA points of 4500+ is very competitive.

Any way you can take a “fifth” year of English? ie, an English elective? or at a community college? And if you have a job, ideally related in some way to your intended major, that might help you. Consider applying ED if you are really interested; supposedly that is a bit easier, and if you are not admitted then, your application will roll over into the regular pool. Are you a CA resident? Good luck!
