I go to school in NYC, Stuyvesant to be in fact.
I have a 93 average so far (junior year right now), 2140 SAT, 32 ACT , 690 score on Biology Subject SAT
ECs and other info : JV basketball 1 year(will prob play varsity next year)
Writer for the school newspaper in the sports department
Will submit an Intel Research Paper
Has done previous research in other medicine based classes
Has taken 3 biology related electives
Volunteered in Pharmacy department of Queens Presbytarian Hospital
Has also volunteered at New York Aquarium
Only problem I could see would be a weak essay and low Bio SAT grade.
What are the chances of Cornell, Columbia, Boston University, NYU, Sophie Davis?
@tondo23 What is your GPA? It’s probably one of the first things top schools look at. Columbia would be very high reach. Cornell would be high reach. This is under the assumption that you will go in as a Biology major. Stats are above average for BU so do well on the essay and you’ll probably get in. idk about the other two. Sorry.
my school doesnt do traditional GPA, but I think a 93 is 3.5+ for sure
also im retaking SAT - will prob get 2200+ and will retake ACT - will prob get 33+ Would those greatly increase my chances?
It would be best to check your school naviance to see odd.
i guess it becomes 3.8 then
