Chances of Cornell

Hey I just wanted to know what some of you think of my chances into Cornell. I’m applying ED to the college of Engineering

Senior APs : lit, calc AB, physics 2c, French, Econ, and American government

Extracurriculars:
-200+ hours community service in hopistals in Tanzania
-100+ hours of community service in hospitals in local area
-taught middle school kids math in Tanzania for 2 weeks
-raised money for people with albinism In east Africa
-school soccer for 2 years
-club soccer for 15 years
-model United Nations , participated in naimun 2 years
-mick trial 2 years

Awards:
National merit semifinalist (finalist soon enough)
National honors society member
French national honors society member

Ethnicity : technically Indian (past 5 generations born in Africa so I identify as being African )
State : Pennsylvania
Gender: male
Income bracket <100,000

Whats your M+CR score? Cornell does not look at writing. If its is >=1450 I think you are in. GPA is very high. GOodl luck.

1380 is low for Cornell. Particularly low for STEM. Your chances are pretty poor.

@Watang, the SAT score is particularly concerning. Please stop commenting when people are trying to give actual advice that is reasonable. If you don’t like them, don’t come here. As for OP, don’t lie about ethnicity. It will come back to haunt you. If you are Indian, that is what you should put. Odds are slim.

oh ok thanks for the advice. Just talked with multiple Cornell alumni said putting african american is fine. @watang ikr had doubts of posting here anyway but had a little hope for these trolling Mofos. I guess I was wrong.

Apparently all Cornell looks at is SAT, giving little importance to the word “holistic” which seems to be a factor they put a lot of emphasis on
