I am starting helping with the American Red Cross this week.

Thank you! Sorry if I made things a bit convoluted.

Just a question if you don't mind. Your Spanish 3 award is from 9th grade, but it seems that you are taking AP Spanish senior year. Did you take a huge break in between?

Your GPA is awesome and your SAT scores are good. To be brutally honest, there is a lack of depth and passion in your ECs which you might need to work on. Good Luck!

oh we start at spanish 3 freshman year and ap spanish (the "step down" is spanish 6) is taken senior year?

not trying to be edgy so i'm sorry if i come off that way, lol, but i've done most of my ec's all 4 yrs of hs. is that not considered dedication?

I don't think there is a lack of depth and passion in your ECs; the more accurate thing to say is that they are not outstanding ECs. However, I think you've done a good job with showing your leadership in your ECs. To me, your stats and ECs are pretty good. What will get you in will be your essays. Don't underestimate the importance of good essays!

sorry pkanaka, in cali, AP Spanish is the fourth year.

That's a bit different from here. The AP languages here are all fifth years, which means you need to take the I level class in eighth grade, or skip a level in high school in order to get into the V level class.

Small chance.

You go to the University of Chicago Lab School? Do you know a kid named Matthew Klein? He was accepted to Yale.
