My son plans to ED1 to his reach school and if denied (which probably will happen) apply ED2 to WF. 34ACT/3.7UW/National Merit Semi-finalist/AP classes, etc. What are his chances?

His first choice is Vandy bc his Mom, both grandparents and 4 other aunts and uncles went to Vandy. Only shot in my opinion is ED1. Thoughts there?
