I’m a transfer student and I’m going to be coming in as a sophomore next year. I have a 4.0 GPA and do tons of community service work. I wrote a damn good essay in the application for scholarships, BUT I didn’t apply until a couple of weeks ago, which is almost two months past the priority deadline. I know that a lot of the scholarship money is gone, but they have to save some of it, right? I’m also out of state so my tuition is astronomical and my whole tuition is on student loans, so a scholarship would mean the world to me. Can you apply for scholarships every year? Or even every semester?

I know there is a Special Scholarships application that my son fills out every year. It covers many university-administers awards. As a returning student he doesn’t get his financial aid notification unitl sometime in the summer so hopefully it is not too late to apply. Good luck!
