I have a 4.0 recalculated GPA with currently 5 finished AP classes with all scores of 5 and one 3. I have enrolled in 4-5 more AP classes this year. My courseload since freshman year has been pretty much all honors and ap courses. I also have a 1420 SAT. Based simply on these stats-- what are my chances of getting admitted EA, and if low should I try and retake again in october in case i get deferred to RD. I am also in-state.
It’s hard to say. If you can get your SAT score up then you will definitely have a better chance of getting in. However, these schools look at much more than just test grades. In order to say, we will need to see your extracurriculars and such to make a precise judgement.

This is what your shooting for so your in range. Is it worth retaking the sat. Depends on what your applying to. If something like engineering then yes since the above is just general information for like lsa. Engineering scores would be higher
What does “recalculated” mean in this context? Weighted? Unweighted? UMich only uses unweighted GPA.
Yes, I would retake the SAT, if you have the time and energy.
Your GC will be the best person to tell you your chances. For state schools where high schools have a track record of kids applying to these schools, they GCs have the most reliable info
If you were out of state, I’d say “don’t count on it”. Most of the kids I know with those stats got deferred
