I'm on the waitlist and I know that the UMN will notify the decision this April 15. How many waitlisted students do you think they'll accept this year? and how many people are in the waitlist? The thing is I heard that UMN will accept only 2% from the waitlist. I'm frustrated because my SAT score was not good as the other's :(..........

Just got an update mail from them, they will let me know again by June 15. Lame…

2 of my waitlisted friends also got the same mail but I got nothing. I don’t know why.
June 15?? lol. Looks like they want us to give up :(

Meh if I don’t get accepted, I’ll only need to take 3 classes in the summer and transfer in the fall. I got enough credits and right classes from pseo to get guaranteed admission.

Hi Everyone,

I was placed on the waitlist in 2006. When I received my letter, I talked with my high school guidance counselor, who called the admissions counselor and pushed for an immediate answer. I secretly sat in the room during this conversation and the admissions counselor confirmed that I would be accepted. This obviously wasn’t any official guarantee, as I didn’t have a letter or anything, but helped in the peace of mind category!

When all is said and done, the U of M has really seen an upsurge in applicants over the past 5-7 years, and with that comes a raised standard of attendees! I’ve heard of a lot of people who get off of the waitlist, however, so good luck!
