Chances of getting accepted into highly selective Boarding Schools?

Hello everyone! This year I applied to 2 boarding schools, St.George’s in Newport and Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth. The acceptance rates are just about between 33% and 29% for both so I’m not trying to get my hopes up. I applied for financial aid and was wondering if that could play a big role in the acceptance decision. The interview at St.George’s went very well, the women who interviewed me said I had a bit of an advantage because I was going to do a repeat for freshman year and I am very into sports and play varsity level for all at my current school. It seemed to have gone pretty well because she talked about how she was going to “brag” about me to the admissions comittee and such. My grades are A’s and B’s and I scored a 45% on my ssat (not the best I know). I have a feeling my chances are pretty slim but with the people I talked to who attend the school and attend boarding school says It seems like I have an okay chance because my interview went superb. My interview at the Abbey however went okay, the interviewer didn’t seem as excited about it as the other women who interviewed me did but it still went well. I also happen to be a big soccer player and both schools coincidently need more players in my position (my soccer coaches sent in recommendations because the admissions boards said It would give me a better chance if I got a bunch of recommendation letters in, which I did). I was wondering If anybody who has attended boarding school or attended one of these schools could tell me how my chances sound… Oh and I also wrote very good admissions essays as well, not sure if that could increase my chances but oh well :)))
