I am a bit confused about whether or not I will be able to gain acceptance into NYU. Let me explain...

I have already received a postcard from NYU claiming they were impressed with my test scores. I have an SAT score of 1940.

I also received another envelope claiming "NYU is impressed with you." I don't know if these mailings are significant, but I have received two from the institution.

I am a senior in high school, 9th in my class. I have made straight A's my entire life, and my senior schedule is as follows:

Calculus AP (two semesters)
English AP (two semesters)
Play Production
Musical Theatre
Earth Science

As you can see, I partake in a variety of both arts and rigorous courses. I have taken all Honors courses and I have a GPA of 4.0. I am part of about eight school clubs, as well as academic clubs such as Beta Club and National Honors Society, and I take piano and guitar lessons as well as maintain a steady job. I plan on pursuing a career in dentistry with a minor in journalism, and I partake in a variety of hobbies. My parents are also considered a minority in the US (they are Middle Eastern) and we gain a below-average annual income.

Will any of this information lead to the possible acceptance into NYU? I am considering early decision as well. If you would like to know any further academic or extracurricular details in relation to the admission process, please let me know.

Thank you greatly!
