Hi! I am curious as to the schools I may potentially get into. I would be applying as a nursing major to the following schools:
Drexel, College of New Jersey, U Del, UPenn (I am sure I'll get declined but my parents would like me to apply) and Villanova
My Stats:
GPA- above a 4.0 weighted class rank 6/160
SAT- Bad:/ 610 Math 630 Reading 650 writing
ECs- crew, math club, student council, violin, soccer, volunteering, yearbook and key club, national honors society
Thank you so much for your input and time:)

Where do you live? I assume its in the tristate area.

Here’s my opinion:

Drexel: In
College of New Jersey: In
U Del: Very Likely
UPenn: Unless, you’re a URM and a legacy (and even then it’d be tough), you have no chance with that SAT score. Sorry to be so honest, but its better to be honest then to lie to you. If you somehow manage to get up to the 2100+ range you could have a shot though, as your GPA and rank are great.

I’m confident about you getting into all the other schools though. Best of luck.

Thank you so much for your honesty:) I completely agree with you about UPenn like I mentioned previously, I know I’ll get declined but my parents want me to apply. Do you think Villanova is a reach?

I think it’s a high match/low reach. Really the only thing hurting you is your SAT because all of your other credentials are great. If possible, I would highly suggest retaking the SAT and/or trying the ACT. If you score better, you could start looking at schools even better than Villanova.

Yeah my SATs are really killing me:/ I’ll take them two more times, hopefully I’ll improve. Thanks again!
