Chances of getting Cal when I've been rejected from UCLA?

So I found out yesterday that I was rejected from UCLA. Is there any chance that I would still be considered for UC Berkeley?

Unweighted GPA: 3.83
Weighted GPA: 4.5
SAT I (first take): 2050 overall (740 CR, 690 M, 620 W)
SAT I (first take): 2240 overall (720 CR, 790 M, 730 W)
SAT II: 750 Biology, 690 Math Level 2

AP scores:
World History 4
US History 4
Calculus AB 5
English Lang/Comp 5
Biology 5
I am also planning on taking the AP exams for Calculus BC, US Gov&Pol, Macroeconomics, and Chemistry this year.

I don't have very many ECs but I am heavily involved in my school orchestra (concertmistress/first violin section leader for 2 years and council member, been in orchestra all 4 years) and I have played on the tennis team for 3 years(varsity this year). I have done some volunteering for youth music camps and the garden club at my old elementary school but my volunteer work is nothing of great significance - probably why I got rejected from UCLA.

I think my stats are pretty weak for my ethnic group (I'm a first-generation Chinese American). My GPA was hurt by two years of World History - it wasn't my favorite subject, and I had a horrible teacher those two years - and Bs in AP Bio and Calc AB from my second semester of junior year. I still rank in the top 10% of my class, though.

I also applied as a Biochemistry major for both UCLA and Cal, if that helps any.

Thanks in advance!

It is likely that your relatively low GPA was what made the difference.

You certainly have a chance at UCLA. Lots of people get accepted to Cal and turned down by UCLA. Cal should be a high match/low reach.

it wan’t your gpa, it was your ec’s. gpa would have gotten you u in if u had even 1 good ec

Oops, made a typo. I got 2240 my second time taking the SAT I (though that should be fairly obvious).

I’ve heard that UCLA puts more weight on your ECs than Cal does, is that true?

Berkeley: High match

U Toronto or McGill could have been safeties if you were able to afford them…
