I'd really like to attend Emory, but my attendance is basically dependent on getting a merit scholarship. My SAT scores are 800 Critical Reading, 760 Math, and 800 Writing (superscored), and I'm a National Merit Semi-Finalist. My GPA is a 4.0 unweighted and 5.1 weighted. My school doesn't rank, but I'm somewhere in the top 5% of a competitve school. I'm an AP Scholar with Distinction (5s of Human Geography, World History, English Language, U.S. History, and Calculus AB), and I'm taking AP Physics, Calc BC, English Lit, Macroeconomics, and Spanish Language this year. I've been Woodwind Captain of my marching band for the past two years, and I'm Vice President of Tri-M Music Honor Society. I'm in NHS, Spanish Honor Society, Young Voters' Club, and Friends of St. Francis (animal welfare club). I was also in the region's premiere youth orchestra freshman - junior year. Does anyone know if I have a decent chance of being an Emory Scholar?
