Your stats wouldn’t qualify you for automatic acceptance, but they’d certainly get your application considered. Out-of-state tuition is pretty steep, and like most public universities there isn’t a lot of aid available for out-of-state students.

The track team is one of the most competitive though, and unless you’re recruited there might not be a big chance of running there. Not sure if that’s something that matters to you.

It’s a neat school, though. Beautiful campus, great community.

UO raised the GPA required for guaranteed admission to 3.4 from 3.25 as of Fall '10. They expect somewhere around 55% of the Fall '10 class to come in via the guaranteed admit, which leaves a decent 45% for a holistic evaluation. A rising GPA trend is quite important to them, as is rigor of the academic schedule. Extra curriculars seem to be less important.

so are you saying i wont be able to get in?

No, not at all. You just are not guaranteed admission. Your GPA is a bit low, but if you have a rising trend from freshman year to senior year that helps a lot. It’s also good that you are out of state. So definitely give it a try. You could very well get in.

your college accepts 86% and well who know’s
