If it isn’t hard to get in, how come that girl told me it was a high match for me ?

well we all have different opinions. I have had friends and even far relatives attend NJIT so i have a good idea on who get accepted or not. Off course i may be wrong, but i am positive you will be accepted.

Thanks!! Are you arabic btw??

haha no I am Bangladeshi but the school i go to is full of Arabics so I’m almost there

Oh cool lol…thanks again for giving me hopes about this school!! Btw how long did it take for your friend to get her acceptance letter??

yea its been my pleasure. and not too long at all. applied and within 3 weeks got accepted.

It’s been around 3 weeks for me… My only fear is being rejected… Lol

LMAO, I think it’s hilarious how you thought EChoudhu got into UPenn when his post said “Penn state”, and despite mentioning it several times, EChoudhu didn’t correct you. lol

NJIT: Match

I only change a chance based on new information about a school, a change in credentials or adding a school to a college list. Now that I know NJIT admits kids that doesn’t have the best English and that it puts more importance to the math score on the SAT or the ACT…

Catria Lmfaoooo so if i don’t get in, now ill look dumb -.-

@ latitude, i didn’t see it to be honest. However, it is understandable, many people make mistakes when it comes to the two.

Your SAT and GPA are both low for NJIT. The 25th percentile at NJIT is 1490 Math 540 Reading 470 Writing 480 and all your scores are below that except your math score which is the same. So, it is a high match but you do have more chance of being rejected than being accepted.

Yeah I was thinking the same, im not sure who to go with since @Echoundhu said he is positive i’ll get accepted, and @catria said it is a match for me… But I was reading that stuff you said too but are those usually right ?

Its totally up to the admission team…If you had like 1800 SAT with that 2.7 GPA, I would say you are definitely in.

I know but im so bad at SATs, especially the verbal part, I need to better in these standardize testing or I won’t be able to attend any of the good schools…

UPDATE!!!
guys I gave u my wrong gpa it’s not a 2.8, its an 82.86 so im guessing that’s higher than what I said it was!? is it like a 3.0?! does this change anything about your opinions of me getting in?

when you think about it a 3.0 looks alot better then a 2.8. this definitely improves your chances and only makes my opinios even stronger. You hould be accepted my friend. In addition, you being an in state applicant always helps.

I put i have a 2.9, is a 82.86 a 2.9 or a 3.0 ??

in my school it would be about a 3.02

Under the scale I use for non-NY schools, a 82.86 is a 3.25 but that might be a little high. I remember having chanced someone with a 87% average for NEU and I claimed it was a 3.6 (with upward trend, though) so take that comparison with a grain of salt.
