Okay so i"m currently a sophmore in high school and my dream college is Notre Dame. I'm intimidated by the low acceptance rates and the competition to get in. I have a 3.8 GPA and am takeing honors and AP classes. I've been involved in the community service club, Avid, and the greenhouse club so far.I havent taken the SAT or ACT yet but do you think i can still have a pretty solid chance of getting in if i join a sport for the next two years, become officer/president of several more clubs, join the youth group, get a part time job, raise my GPA and get good scores on the SAT/ACT? Is there still hope!? I want to get in really bad but i was'nt looking into getting into a college like Notre Dame untill this past month. Is there anything specific that would really increase my chances into getting in Ex. a club that would look really good? Thank you for takeing the time to read this and respond. =) P.S im in the second semster of the year i've calculated that if i do a good job i can still finish the year with a 4.2 GPA.

I sincerely hope you are actually going to do these things, because just saying that you want to do them means naught.
