I'm a Junior in High School who really wants to go to NYU Steinhardt to major in Music Business. I've been involved with music for years and have a 3.7 cumulative GPA as of my sophomore year and based on my current grades it should go up to a 3.8. My SAT scores are around 1600, but i didn't skip any problems so those are expected to go up as well. I understand that i need to audition to get into this program so if anyone is currently in this program or has been, please give me any advice or the likeliness of me getting into NYU.

Ok Assuming that the 3.7-3.8 is UW and that the SAT is ~1600/1600 (if its 1600/2400 you have to take it again and at least score above 2000 i dont know what to tell you) you chances look great (again only if SAT is 1600/1600 other wise you have to pick it up)

also to help you i need to know your ECs… are you involved in music, has music influenced your life, and have you put time/commitment in impacting music programs at your school.

if you can show that you have commitment, maintain that GPA in the first few Semesters of Senior year, and get you SATs up past a 2000 then you’ve got as much a shot as anyone
