PLEASE CHANCE ME…AM REALLY, REALLY TENSE

I really really think you have a great shot!

First question: Can you afford NYU; they are not good about financial aid.
Second question: Will you be retaking your SAT’s?

Thanks epgolchini!

Also, aunt bea, no, I cant…im an international student from pakistan so its hard for me…also, I wont be retaking my sats…

So, your saying I dont have a good chance at financial aid/scholarships?

NYU has horrible financial aid. Please look up posts on this web site related to financial aid at NYU. You will see that the major complaint is that they don’t give out sufficient aid. They may accept you, but you will pay full fees.

Sorry, but I really don’t think you can afford this school. Did you apply to others? Fees at NYU are currently at $73K+ per year. Did you not look up to see what they offered in financial aid to international students?:

“International Students: NYU offers limited financial support in the form of institutional grants/scholarships to international freshmen admitted to our New York campus beginning with the Fall 2013 term. Grants/scholarships will be based upon a combination of financial need and academic merit. Students who are not U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and who wish to be considered for institutional financial aid when applying for admission to the NYU New York campus should complete ONLY the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE to be considered for institutional financial aid funds. International students cannot apply for financial support after they are admitted. Admission to NYU is need-aware for international applicants”.

^^^^^^^NYU is need-aware^^^, which typically means if you need funding to go there, they will compare and select a person who can pay, over a person who cannot afford it. Since your SAT is not at a minimum of 2250 for grants and scholarships, they can afford to be picky.

NYU isn’t that bad with aid… I got 32K in scholarships but I did have a 35 ACT which is a 2330 SAT equivalent. But many international students last year received sufficient aid to attend.
