haha dude i go to bronx science too! i applied RD to harvard and got in EA to MIT. Coincidentally, i'm also on the CREW TEAM. definitely take the ACT. That GPA needs to get up. That's all I can say. I don't know how admissions work at harvard, but no one's gonna really know your true chances of getting in. all of the kids at our school with insane SATs got deferred from MIT, and mine wasn't even close to spectacular--although my ACT made up for it. But we dont have much enthusaism for harvard, so maybe you have a good chance. all i'm worried about for you is the GPA. aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it'll be tough for you to get on the crew team if you're a junior: we really want frosh and soph recruits. you better pull a really good 2k!

yup that gpa needs to be up there in the 97 range or something and you gotta have something that makes you look different in a good way on your ec's so they can say despite his gpa he has done things, and besides you go to Bronx science so everybody is smart and you need to be in the top student pool, like a kid from SI Tech who found a way to find out how old crocodile teeth are by making some crazy formula, from that comes that despite his low stats he has a strong chance of making Harvard due to his knowledge

Do you know where you rank compared to others at Bronx Science? Can you distinguish yourself in some way via competitions or research? I think in your case, coming from a wellknown school, it's less a matter of what the stats over all say (in the ballpark - the same one in ten chance everyone has) and what your position at the school is. Average number of kids accepted from Bronx Science is x and I'm better than x-5 so my chances are pretty decent. Or there are more than x kids better than me, and my chances aren't so hot. Does Bronx Science use Naviance scattergrams?

im eentering the intel and nycef competions based on research ionvolving prefrontal cortical thickness in schizophernics. and we do use naviance
