i am. my average is increasing so much. im getting 100's in casses where i cudnt get a 90 in. ive enrolled in sat classes and already joined another club and started studying for sat 2 bio as well as math 2c. i think i cud attain these goals.

While I should be the last guy to tell you about your GPA, you need to raise it to stand a good shot. The accepted GPA for Duke from your high school is 94.00. A lot of those people also happen to have taken courseloads which are harder. You need to bump up your course selection while also raising your GPA significantly. You also need to get more involved in your ECs. Simply joining in junior year isn't the best plan either as adcoms often see it as simply padding resumes. You need to pursue some offbeat ECs, leadership positions, or win some major award.

The kids who get into the best colleges fall into three categories: Great academics+Great ECs, Good academics+Great ECs, Great academics+good ECs. Obviously the people in the first do the best but if you fall into any of these three categories you stand a shot at the best schools.

Best of luck with the process.
