grades are low. standardized test scores are high, but honestly, all colleges realize that the MathIIC SATII test means nothing. Is there another math SATII you can take? You also need some leadership positions somewhere. Right now you are looking like an average to below average applicant, but maybe thats not true because you are looking to go into science. Any hooks?

idk im doing a research project, have taken 4 lab sciences. thinking of attaining a position in pre med club. a lot of volueteer work. prbly gonna join robotics as well as track next year. also indian from a single parent family. also what if i pull off a 97 average this term as well as next term. how would that help?

What grade are you in? I'm guessing you're a sophomore. A lot of what you're saying seems to be theoretical (I plan to do this, etc.). A lot can change in 2 years and advice that people give you now based on what you "plan to do" in the future really won't help you much. Come back in a year or so with some real stats. Good luck. Also..being Indian definitely won't help, unless you mean Native American. Single family home won't help unless you specifically write an essay about it and how it's shaped your life, maybe.

Collegebond 78 you seem too intense. You are going to drive yourself crazy. You are obviously a sophmore or junior but continually posting on many ivy league forums about your chances, what courses to take ect.
Just do what you are passionate about because you love it and that will come through. Just be yourself. You cant make your self into something you think the ivy league will want. From what you post you should be an interesting candidate. Just keep it up and relax.

I think I will stop continually posting on these forums. I will acttually study like crazy all day, and get the test grades and sat/act scores I want. I will do the extracircular activities I say I will kepp on doing. Then I will come back January of senior year and then post about my chances with some actual stats to back up my talking. Who knows? With al this studying I might be able to get into Princeton and/or UPenn. Thanks for the reality check.
