I'm currently a freshman at Christopher Newport University. I want to transfer to James Madison. I was fairly confident about getting in to the fall semester, however, the more I read their admission requirements, the scarier it sounds. They stress the difficulty of entering as a sophomore, and I've heard JMU is very inconsistent with who they let in and who they dont.

In high school I was a varsity athlete and captain, in National Honor Society and Young Democrats, took International Bacculareate courses and graduated in the top 15% with a 4.0 GPA. My SAT score was 1260 (without Writing). I am likely getting a 3.75 this semester and after I complete this year I should have earned 31 credits from CNU. I am in the President's Leadership Program here, which is an "honor" but no other school offers anything like it, so I'm not sure if they'll be impressed. I never applied to JMU as a high school student.

Is it likely I will get in? What are some things I can do to ensure my admission. Thanks.
