I also have a job and am a lifeguard.

Other schools that I am applying are UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkley, Cal Poly SLO, and University of Michigan.

Can someone give me some direction because I know almost nothing about Boston U since most of the kids I know tend to stay in Cali for college and know nothing about out-of-state schools such as myself. Are my stats up to par with BU? Can I get into the School of Management?

Also, what would be other schools that I should consider applying to on the eastcoast/anywhere out of state that might be similar to the others that I am applying to?

One more question: How is the weather? I am a major weather wimp.

I am kinda in the same boat. From CA. No idea about east coast weather. Applying to BU. I was a lifeguard as well.

I am assuming that you are interested in business. NYU. Cornell. Boston College. Univerisity of Virginia. USC (actually, i am surprised you are not applying to USC, 10+ people are applying there from my school).

Yeah I thought about applying to USC but it's way selective and going to a public school, my chances seem even slimmer. It seems as though only the Valedictorians get selected from my school and maybe another select one or two. But my friends from private schools who may not have had as great of stats get accepted more often/easily.

i go to a public school. i know that last year two people from my school were accepted into USC. yes, it is very selective but then again i heard UC Berkeley will be very selective this year since it was named the top public university (at least that's what my counselor told me). i am not applying to USC because i made the decision that if i am going to a private, it would have to be out-of-state.

being a weather wimp might be difficult for you since east coast is known for having actual season unlike sunny california.

i am also waiting anxiously for my new SAT scores and i will be taking math 2c in nov. must study! gawd.

I am applying to Berkley because my parents want me to just for the hell of it since it's so close to our home. And since I am applying to a bunch of other UCs and they share the same application, I didn't see any harm in merely checking one more box haha.

Yes I am a weatherwimp but I think I might be able to handle the seasons if it's somewhere like Boston. I'm not sure about UMich though! But ultimately I see myself staying in Cali anyways. Winter apparel sucks, as horrible a reason as that sounds.

Good luck on your SAT IIs, I'll be doing the same in November. I hate math.

USC, are you sure? 10% of my school ended up there last year, one girl with a 2.9 GPA. (BTW i'm from a public high school.) If you want to go, you should apply.
