I will also need financial aid, where we can pay around 30 grand. And my recommendations will be from teachers who’s classes I excelled in, so they should be great.

Given your GPA and current test scores, your list is overly optimistic and you go from tippy top to a safety school like Marist without a middle.
I would suggest cutting those aggressive reaches to one or two and add in other schools like Elon, Gettysburg, Lehigh, Lafayette, Dickinson, Hobart, St. Lawrence and St. Michael’s.
You could get rejected from all except Marist.

I somewhat agree with the above post. Your ECs are quite good and solid, so no problem there. But the base of “entry level” that admission officers will look at (unless you have a hook–such as recruited athlete, first generation to go to college, native american/other minority ethnicity) are your GPA and tet scores; especially the GPA.
My suggestion would be for you to look at the GPA of admitted (and also enrolled) students in each of the colleges that you are aiming for. You will realize that your GPA is significantly below the range that they are accepting, so it may not be in your best interest in applying to so many of them. Having said that, it is not bad to dream and reach for something, so go for some of them, just not so many of them so you can devote quality time in the applications of some match schools as well. Also, your GPA might be on the lower end range of some of your reach schools, so they might be worth applying to…?
Good luck!

I’m afraid I have to agree with the others. Williams is considered the top LAC in the nation and there are students who turn down schools like Harvard to attend (not often but it happens). You just aren’t competitive in where it matters the most - academics. Don’t be fooled by the high ED acceptance rate. Many athletes are accepted early and also the pool is smaller but filled with very determined kids who are high achieving and also know they would thrive at a school that is in a pretty remote location. You don’t get a lot of name seeking ED applicants like you would at an Ivy or more centrally located LAC.

Thanks for your help guys, I’ll definitely consider these responses and bring them up to my counselor who actually wen through this list and said I’ll be alright for some reason. The average SAT score for people who got accepted to Williams from my school is a 1955, if I do raise my SAT score up to a 2050 or higher, would that increase my chances? What about if I get even better grades during this fall trimester before I apply? I do have an upward progression from my grades since freshman year, and don’t universities like that? Thanks again

That average SAT does not make sense. The overall average SAT score for Williams in 2014-15 was around 2210. The 25th percentile was 2055. I can’t see how your high school’s could be about 250 points lower than the 50% mark unless your applicants are hooked (athletes, URMs). You do not mention a hook. Without one your chances are very low, and your list is top heavy.
Also, can’t tell, is that 3.67 your cumulative GPA? You can only raise it so much even with great grades from now until next fall.
