Chances of getting in?

So I know it's too early to even be thinking about college but I am right now a sophomore, and I go to a high school with very rigorous curriculum and all that. Anyways, I already know what schools I really wanna go to (can't decided) Boston University or Lehigh University. Any feed back would be great right now, as to where I stand and what I should improve.

GPA
--unweighted-around 3.55 so far
--weighted- around 3.75-3.8 so far---my school doesn't weigh but i asked my counselor what it would be so far

I haven't taken any AP but for junior year I'll be taking one AP and all honors.

Junior Year Schedule so far--

AP Gov&politics
honors physics
honors analysis (precalc/trig)
honors genetics(semester class)
honors human biology(semester class)
one honors english(semester class
one regular english(semester class)
honors french

Senior year (not sure but I started thinking about it)

not sure between AP BIO, AP CHEM, or AP PHYSICS----probably AP BIO
math--either AP Calc AB or pre calc--depends on how I do in the class I take next year
AP Lit.
AP French
economics(semester class)
and thats all I know so far...

PSAT
freshmen year was 144/240 (really bad!!)
sophomore year (this year) 189/244
i know I'l do better next year as a junior but more importantly I'm more confident knowing I did a lot better just from reviewing, I am deff. taking SAT prep. classes.

My EC's

-my town youth group--one of the executives
-student gov--active member and volunteer
-Peaceworks--its part of the DVCC (domestic violence crisis center) i am certified by them and will be president of the group next year
-Habitat for Humanity
-Key Club (international)
-Amnesty International
-Peervention-highly selective group of students in my school who get chosen for various opportunities
and a few other things I can't think of...

Volunteer work-
400+ hours

I am doing the BU summer challenge this summer, got accepted and am going
Next summer I am doing an internship/ study abroad

I am a gymnast. I also do cross country (well tried) and I do track too.

I'm thinking of majors already...and I like the option of pre-med program(maybe, unsure) but my top choice is molecular biology or anything in that area.

Sorry for such a long post!!! All I want is some feed back as to how am doing and what I need to improve on and stuff. I really love BU and Leigh U.

Things you can do at the moment: do well on school tests; increase your GPA. The GPA is one of the most important admission factors; as you can imagine, the greater the better.

For ECs, you’re on the right track in my opinion.

Is it possible for you to take more AP classes in your junior year?

I’m working on increasing my GPA, thats my main focus at the moment which includes the doing well on tests.
Yeah it’s deff possible for me to take more AP’s junior year. I could do AP Environmental but I wanted to get physics out of the way…? I’ve done honors bio, honors, chem.

In my opinion, APs are usually better than Honors for they have a standardized scoring system. That is, – colleges can evaluate your performance on [AP] tests by just looking at your final score – they will always know whether your score is good or bad. In the case of Honors, they aren’t able to make perfect comparisons of scores of applicants from different schools due to different testings.

In the case Honors classes are simply better than AP classes in your school, I would recommend taking AP tests anyway by the end of the Honors courses.

okay, yeah thats definitely something to think about there. Which school do you think is better for molecular biology? if you know…or in general which do you prefer?

Sorry, but I don’t know much about those two. I have certainly heard the name Boston University more than Lehigh University though. The statistics of the two colleges state that Lehigh should be ‘harder’ to get in.
