Chances of getting in?

<p>Hello fellow CC members, I am wondering if I would possibly have a chance to get into BU. I’m entering my senior year and I am trying to get some opinions on schools I am thinking about applying to.
GPA (UW): 3.71
SAT score
Composite:1870
Math:660
CR: 590
Writing: 620</p>

<p>SAT II US History: 730 Spanish: 540</p>

<p>AP’s
US History 4
Psychology 4</p>

<p>To be taken senior year:
Spanish Language
Statistics
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics
US Government and Politics
(Possibly Environmental Science)</p>

<p>Class rank: top 10%</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: 4 years of varsity soccer (2 year captain). 4 years indoor track. 3 years outdoor track. 1 year varsity golf. National Honors society. World Language honors society. Model UN.</p>

<p>Worked as a camp counselor at a local summer camp for past 4 summers. Refereeing youth soccer games for 5 years. Assistant coach for youth soccer team. Camp counselor at local youth soccer camp. </p>

<p>Total volunteer hours around 150</p>

<p>Work experience: Catering for a local resort place. Companies, Unions, and schools have huge picnics at our place, where they can do various activities and eat and drink all they want. My job was to pick up after them. It kind of sucks, but I get paid so I tolerate it. </p>

<p>Also help out my uncle who owns his own power washing business.</p>

<p>I see one glaring problem: course rigor</p>

<p>I see only 2 ap classes listed</p>

<p>A 3.71 UW gpa is not as impressive with a curriculum like yours</p>

<p>The classes listed after my AP’s are all AP classes. So I have 5 AP’s my senior year so far, that sounds pretty rigorous.</p>

<p>but it does not factor into your current GPA, so a 3.7 is still not that awesome. a 3.7 with 5 AP’s that have already been taken is even better :)</p>

<p>Why did you wait until your senior year to take so many APs?</p>

<p>It won’t look bad, but it won’t really be considered by BU.</p>

<p>My school doesnt offer that many AP classes, and i didnt think of self-studying until this year, so that’s why I pilled all the AP’s on this year</p>
