I think I have a pretty/really good chance of getting in, but I always hear the crazy stories about people who don't get into U of M despite being the captain of four sports teams and getting a 35 on their ACT, so who knows?

I'm white (if it matters), and I want to write professionally when I grow up, or maybe be an editor in the meantime. I have a 34 on the ACT. I have all A's in high school except one B (B+ in biology). Notable classes include:

Freshman year - Honors English, Honors Geometry, Band
Sophomore year - Honors English, AP US History (only AP offered for that year), Honors Chemistry, Honors Algebra 2
Junior year - AP English Language (4 on the AP test), AP World History (4 on the AP test), Honors Precalculus, Physics (regular physics, not honors)
Senior year - AP English Literature, AP Psychology, AP Chemistry. Also Novels, Creative Writing.

I've taken French up to French 4. I took Journalism (school newspaper) for part of sophomore year and all of junior and senior year. This year, I'm the editor-in-chief. Extracurriculars include National Honor Society this year, piano program at U of M for the past six or so years, and a couple other random ones like Gay-Straight Alliance since sophomore year.

I'm not sure if it was necessary to say all of this, but I'm just trying to get exact as possible. There's no way for me to tell how my essays were, but I think they were good.
