Should I be worried? I submitted my application for the interdisciplinary environmental sciences major at UCF mid-August and although I understood that they wouldn't start reviewing until September 14th, I though that submitting it that early would help my chances of hearing back earlier. I originally submitted my application with a 3.0 GPA and 25 on my ACT but as my senior year continues, my GPA is rising so it rose to a 3.3. I emailed admissions asking if I could send a more recent copy of my transcript and they said yes so now they have that GPA and new Dual Enrollment classes (college classes that are offered at my high school) that I added to my schedule to make it more rigorous. My SAT is a 1590 or so, I thought that wasn't competitive enough so I only sent in my ACT scores. My essay was pretty well written and I had it reviewed by a friend who goes to UCF and he helped me make changes to better it. My extracurricular list is filled with stuff I've volunteered for such as church and the local elementary school. Also, my schedule for my senior year contains two college classes, an honors class, a standard class, and an academy that I've been in for four years.

What do you think my chances are for getting into the Summer 2013 term at University of Central Florida? Should I be worried that it's taken 4+ months? Also, does being a minority help my chances?
