I am from India. i just wanted to know that can get into some good Universities for engineering.

Completed my high school (12th) with 66% (CBSE) its low because i was suffering from Hepatitis A for almost 3 and a half months.
Had 89% score in 10th grade.

Give me the names of some more colleges (Engg) which have some generous aid facilities
I am willing to pay around $46600 over four years ($3833 yearly) in all!!!!

Please, somebody reply…!!!

Does the $3833 include living expenses? If so, it seems very low. Even if it doesn’t, $3833 for tuition is going to be hard to pull off

I am really sorry!!! $46600 makes around $11650/year, my fault!!
I just divided the amount by 12 instead of 4…oops!!

Overall a well rounded candidate.

Your ECs and Community Service activities are sufficient and some of them are eye catching, but

Academics- GPA is too low.

SAT - great score.

ECs - Leadership - Sports Captain, School Prefect and Cultural Secretary
Creative - Calligraphy and Folk Dance
Intellectual Pursuit - Quiz, Cyber Olympiad, Science Exhibition and Debate

Community- Number 3 and 4 are definitely commendable.

I am not qualified to chance you. But you should match your stats with Freshman Stats ie. the most recent admits for the colleges you are interested in. Remember Academic GPA and SATs are the first filter for your application. So once that is a match you can think of proceeding furthur. Although a match is not a guarantee.

What can work for you is, If you can write a great essay, explain your low 12th score and how productively you have managed to use the gap year, it might make a difference.

So have you taken a drop? I dont think your CBSE percentage matters. My friend got into Harvard with a 54% in 11th and 76% in 12th. According to the WES website, 60%+ is a 4 point GPA.

Thank u #anialways For ur precious compliments.

can anybody else chance me please!!!

abhi30169 can u tell me ur friend’s stats?

Hello…nyone there?

Please…i want sum more people to chance me!

No one realize that is not a valid SAT score?
There must be a typo somewhere.

Oh …***** even i failed to notice my own fault. a little correction here.
sat score-2250
subject tests nt yet taken.

chance me please!!!

Hey, CCers dis is extremely imp for me. so pls have a luk n chance me!!!

teslaboy can u pls have a luk over here?

Your GPA seems low and your SAT is in the ball park although not really standing out for these schools. You may give Cornell ED a try as you may have higher chance with it. Caltech is not very likely. Do you have any SAT2 scores? They are required for Cornell Engineering, Caltech and many top schools. If you have not taken or at least registered for them, you are likely too late for ED. Most would require Math2 plus a science subject.
