Chances of getting in

<p>I live in North Carolina and I am an African-American. I go to a school based on engineering and biotechnology and have taken four engineering classes (Digital Electronics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Principles of Engineering) and they are all AP weighted and I got B's in all of them if this means anything. I am interested in majoring in Business Management and getting a JD in graduate school.</p>

Played 2 years of Varsity football
Member of the key club (Community Service Club)
Taking dual enrollment (community college) courses in high school (Junior & Senior Year) and I have gotten only A's and B's in the classes from Forsyth Technical Community College
I will be the SGA Senior Class President
Taken 2 AP classes, but I plan to take 2 more my senior year
Got a 4 on AP US History and a 3 on AP Psychology
List of AP's I have taken or will be taking - Psychology, US History, Statistics, US Goverment & Politics, and Comparative Government & Politics, plus my engineering classes are AP weighted
Interned at Wake Forest Innovations this summer.
Use to work as a cashier at a grocery store during my softmore year</p>

<p>Forgot to mention I got a 24 on the ACT and a 1570 on the SAT.
My unweighted GPA is 3.17 and 3.94 weighted</p>

<p>Your gpa and test scores are very low for ut austin. You could try to raise your test scores but I don’t think you have a chance.</p>

<p>Class rank matters the most for UT Austin. Are you in the top 7% in your class? If so, you will get automatic admission. If you are not in the top 7% then I would suggest for you to raise your test scores a bit.
Also, you do have a chance. You will never know until you try.</p>

<p>Auto is for in state only. He’s out of state. Honestly your chances are slim to none. Based on out of state acceptances you don’t really have a chance sorry. But try unc-chapel hill seeing as you’re in state for that</p>

<p>I was going to say have a look at UNC, too. Your chances for UT don’t look high. </p>
