Chances of getting in?

Hello!

I am a senior at a highly rated public school in a suburb outside of NYC. I have visited the campus twice, and CU is definitely my top choice, however, I am a bit worried about my chances of getting in. I have about an 83.4% GPA unweighted (low due to crappy freshman year grades, and consistent C's in math), which I understand to be around a 3.0 GPA. (not sure because my H.S. doesn't use a 4.0 GPA scale) My grades have been on an upward curve, and I have taken 2 SAT's and my highest composite score is 1770 (1150/1600: 620 CR/530 M) . I recently took the October SAT, scores have not come out yet, but I am hoping that my math score improved. I have taken 3 AP courses throughout high school, and have taken advanced Spanish every year.

I have excellent extracurriculars and have been on 4 service trips to Central America through a club at my school. I plan to apply Early Action, and Financial Aid will not be needed. I plan to major in International Relations with a minor in Spanish.

How are my chances of getting into CU? Any other suggestions for schools similar to Boulder that I could get into?

Thanks!

we were admitted to Boulder with a ACT 20 and a gpa of 3.12, class rank 185 of 420. You should also apply to CSU in Fort Collins … Its 1 hour from Boulder, also parked next to the mountains. The vibe is a little less intense than boulder , parking is easier and is a more bicycle friendly town.
