What do you guys think should it be a reach or a match? help...

I think you are a match but it would be good if you could increase your SAT score or try the ACT. Your grades, courses and activities look excellent. If you had a higher SAT score you would qualify for honors and the university scholarship.

APPLY EARLY - FIRST DEADLINE! When you get accepted, immediately submit the housing application if you want to live on campus so you get the best priority number.

The only drawback I see is the SAT. Take a prep course and repeat the test. FSU does not care how many times you take it. They take the best combination of scores, like most universities do.

I would agree with all the posts that are here especially the one's about taking the ACT. It is a different test and kids very often will score better on the ACT than the SAT, you probaly want to be looking for something in the 25-28 range which would convert to a SAT of around 1150-1200.

Also FSU gives +/-'s and factors them in on the decison. Things like having a strong senior schedule, upward trends in marks, being in the top 10% will help your application. Apply early September /October to get a decision before the end of the year.

A 26 is the current average score, so that's good. If they cut freshmen enrollment, you should still be reasonably OK, but that's just my guess, as it seems the lower scores would be most at risk.

I'd suggest taking the tests again and trying to get an extra point or two.

Also - take as many APs as you can. A "C" in AP Calculus AB is better than higher grades in lesser courses.
