RAI score? Where did you get RAI score from?

I think your chances are below average due to average GPA around 3.5, and I think average act around 25. Also being out of state could also make it difficult.

I’m also from VA and will be attending MSU next year.
my stats:
GPA: 4.035
ACT 29
I am also in the Honors College which is really helping me financially.
I think MSU is a definite reach for you- they become more and more selective every year. But good luck.

I agree with the above posters - MSU is a bit of stretch for you. However, don’t count yourself out in any way - I am certain there are students who have been admitted to MSU with similar stats recently. Especially if you are able to convey what you have been doing outside of academics through the rest of your application ie through recommendations/essay, you will have a better chance for acceptance.

youre in now. but seriously… everyone gets in to MSU. they have like a 75% acceptance rate. So don’t consider yourself special in any way. But I also think that it does not matter what college you go to, it matters what you do there.

R-KATT, what are you talking about? In no way is he “in”. Has he improved his chances? Absolutely.

MSU has gotten a lot more competitive in the last few years. They are rejecting very good students. I know quite a few students who got rejected this year with better stats than that.

And who are you to say who is special? Is one any more special for getting into U of M (which I am assuming you want to based on other posts)?

I’m pretty sure that a 75%, actually a 74%, acceptance rate doesn’t mean that everyone gets into MSU. If you’re here to bash MSU, go to the U of M forum. Thanks.
