Chances of Getting In?

Hi I am a Junior in high school and am just wondering if I am getting my hopes up for nothing.

GPA is 3.4 but I plan on bringing it up with my last semester. I am in the top 25% of my class and hopefully will bring it up.

1770 combined on the SATs which is not the best but I have only taken them only once so far with minimal studying. I plan to take them again in October and I am also taking the ACTs in June and again on the fall date. I also am going to take the Math 1 and U.S. History SAT2s in June.

Schedules:
(all of these years i have taken one quarter of gym and one quarter of health)

9th grade:
band, honors french 2, honors algebra 2, honors world history 1 and 2, honors english, honors physical science
clubs: eco club, history club

10th grade:
band, honors biology, honors world history 3/ civics (one semester each), honors geometry, honors french 3, intro to tech ed (stupid required credit in my school)
clubs: eco club

11th grade:
band, art 1 and 2 (one semester each), shakespeare and war in literature (both honors and one semester each), honors chemistry, AP U.S. history, honors sociology (one semester) honors trigonomery
clubs: eco club, history club, world language club

Next year I plan on taking:
band, AP english, psychology (honors but with the AP test), honors philosophy, honors painting/advanced painting, AP physics, and I am trying to decide to take AP statistics or honors precalc (or both).
I will also be participating in the eco club, history club, world language club, possibly unity club, and I will be in National Art Honor Society.

I have had an after school job working at my local grocery store since August before my Junior year. I work roughly 15-20 hours a week.

Also I plan on doing a ton of community service this summer to keep me busy.

I plan to interview there and apply early decision. It is truly my first choice but I really feel as if I am not good enough to get in. Thank you for your advice and feedback!

I would focus on raising your grades and having a good interview/essays about Conn. You have a shot.

are you male or female? its a bit easier for males

Although it probably would be safe to assume something along those lines, do we really know this? Conn doesn’t release this admissions info.

I’m male and thanks for all the advice. I already have a pretty good idea for my essay and I’m going to start writing it over the summer.

Does anyone have any tips for the interview?

Also I forgot to add honors English in 10th grade. Totally slipped my mind.
